Purpose:

The event must focus on the improvement of wellness, physical health, and/or mental health through programming for UCLA students.

Applications related to food will only be approved if it is essential to the event’s goal of improving student wellness.

The event must take place on the UCLA campus and address the needs of UCLA undergraduate students. Events must:

• Be open to all UCLA students
• Take place on campus
• Benefit the undergraduate population

What It Cannot Be Used For:

• Trophies
• Charms
• Cameras
• Flowers and plants*
• Candles
• Decorations
• T-shirts
• Picture frames
• Personal gifts
• Compact discs (including DVDs)
• IM sports fees
• Plaques and engraving
• Parking citations
• Personal reimbursements of honorarium payments made to (an) individual(s)

*Above marked items can be purchased if necessary for program facilitation.

Amount to Apply:

• Student organizations may apply multiple times, provided each application is for a different event.
• The maximum amount a student group can apply for each time is $750.
• Student Health Network (SHN) members are eligible for a maximum allocation of $1,000.

Special Instructions:

• Groups receiving funding from the SWC Programming Fund must publicize the Student Wellness Commission by including the SWC logo on all flyers, posters, etc.
• All proposals must include estimates, quotes, or documentation detailing how the funds will be used.
• There is NO retroactive funding. Applications must be submitted PRIOR to the event. This fund cannot be used for programs that have already taken place.
• Allocated funds must be used only for the approved items. Failure to adhere to stipulations and requirements may result in consequences for the organization.
• Late or incomplete applications (missing responses or documentation) will not receive funding that week but may be resubmitted two Mondays before the event date.
• Use of electronic payment sources (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, etc.) is not allowed and will not be accepted as documentation by Student Government Accounting.
